We are a four-member team: the two master violin makers Andreas Hampel and Susanne Riebesehl, violin maker Jonathan Magerl, and Imke Blöchle as office assistant.

Diploma from Mittenwald Violin Making School, worked in South Germany, and attended masterclasses in Italy given by Jürgen von Stietencron.
Prizewinner at the Jacobus Stainer Competition in Freiburg
Focus: copies of old masterpieces, and sound adjustment.
Started the business in Hamburg in 1992; Andreas is a founding member of KlangGestalten, and a member of VSA and VDG.
Musical training: numerous years of violin lessons; currently active as a violinist in Eppendorf Symphony Orchestra and as a violist in a string quartet.
Susanne Riebesehl, Master Violin Maker.
Diploma from Mittenwald Violin Making School, worked in the workshops of Edith Dittrich in Bern and Andreas Post in Amsterdam.
Susanne attended bowmaking masterclasses given by Hans-Karl Schmidt, and string instrument restoration masterclasses led by Mark Robinson und John Dilworth.
Prizewinner at the Prague International Violin Making Competition in 2016.
Focus: New handcrafted string instruments; restoration of fine string instruments and bows.
Musical training: numerous years of violin lessons; currently active as principle of 2nd violins in Hamburg Haydn Orchestra, and as a string quartet member.
Jonathan Magerl, Violin Maker.
Jonathan attended Mittenwald Violin Making School from Sept 2013 to Feb 2017, Diploma in Mittenwald 2017.
Focus: repair and setup.
Musical training: numerous years of violin lessons; Jonathan was concertmaster of Lüchow-Dannenberg Symfony Orchestra up to 2012.
Imke Blöchle, office assistant.
Imke keeps all our papers and documents in order, makes phone calls and gets everything organized.
